Position Responsibilities :
-
Manage and coordinate mold qualification trials and all activities related to the development of the over-molding process (metrology, validations, machine installations, etc.)

Analyze metrologies and define mold revisions in collaboration with Quality, Design, Metrology teams and/or suppliers

Manage mold and injection process development and validation
-
Provide technical support to manufacturing and production during Full-Rate Production (FRP)
-
Train production technicians and maintenance staff in mold and process best practices
-
Provide robust mold and process technical documentation
-
Evaluate supplier performance after each project
-
Develop, roll out, and ensure adherence to internal plastic process Golden Rules
-
Monitor new technologies and process/tooling improvements
-
Support local development and production teams with technical expertise
-
Contribute to problem-solving and continuous improvement projects and events

Position Requirements :

Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Manufacturing Engineering or a related field
-
Five (5) years of experience in the job offered or a related role

Experience must include demonstrable knowledge of:
-
Injection molding
-
Vertical & horizontal injection machines
-
Plastic injection pre-molding and over-molding for inner, outer, safety & mechanical applications (automotive)
-
Robot programming: Shini, Engel, Kuka, Sepro, Krauss Maffei & Star Seiki Cartesian robots
-
Cold runner, hot runner, 2-plate, 3-plate, hydraulic/pneumatic noyaux/cores, valve gates & mechanical actuators for single & multi-cavity tools

EOAT modification & corrective repair
-
Overhead traveling crane operation
-
DraftSight 2D CAD
-
ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, IATF 16949:2015, OHSAS 18001
-
PFMEA, Control Plan, & Quality Checklist creation and control
-
